British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on a two-day visit to India started his day by visiting Sabarmati Ashram. He even tried his hand at charkha and wrote a note sharing his experience. His images and videos of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashram in Sabarmati went viral within minutes. Right after that, Twitter was flooded with hilarious memes. Johnson was also seen jumping on a bulldozer and posing for photos at a JCB factory. During his two-day visit, Johnson toured the recently opened JCB factory in Halol, Gujarat. The British Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel, during his visit to the factory. Johnson climbed onto the bulldozer and manipulated its controls to try to figure out how to move the vehicle. He then waved and smiled at the cameras hanging on the door of the bulldozer.
A construction equipment manufacturing company, JCB is known for selling bulldozers used in construction and demolition.
Before visiting the JCB factory, Johnson met with business tycoon Gautam Adani. The prime minister’s two-day visit is expected to give new impetus to the proposed free trade agreement, strengthen cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and strengthen defense ties.
On the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, Johnson’s visit will be a starting point for the next round of talks scheduled for next week.
