Granite unleashes Microsoft Teams integration and merges voice services

Merged Voice helps partners pursue greater business prospects, the company said.

Granite Telecommunications has unveiled its new Microsoft Teams and Merged Voice integration services for sale through its Indirect Business Partners.

Granite is rolling out Direct Routing support to Microsoft Teams. Businesses can make and receive external phone calls within the Teams collaboration app on their desktops, laptops, or mobile devices.

The Teams integration enables calls to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). It does this by connecting Granite’s SIP trunking service to Microsoft Phone System in Teams.

Charlie Pagliazzo is the Vice President of Granite Chains.

“Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams gives our partners another way to help their customers,” he said. “Microsoft Teams can be used as a cloud phone system. A Microsoft 365 user can add the Microsoft Phone System feature to their existing license or simply activate it. Sharing this cost-effective and empowering solution with prospects and customers is another way for partners to demonstrate their value as a trusted advisor. »

Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams simplifies using Teams as a phone, Pagliazzo said.

“Our carrier-grade SBCs are registered with Microsoft and can deliver SIP directly to the Microsoft cloud,” he said. “Because of this, we can offer bundled concurrent calls for customers and great call rates to help reduce overall costs. The Granite Channels team is excited to work with our partners to improve their value for end users and looks forward to securing further agreements with them.
