MSSP Foresite acquires security monitoring firm Cyber ​​Lantern

Foresite Cybersecurity, a top 250 MSSP, has acquired security monitoring, management and assessment solution provider Cyber ​​Lantern.

Cyber ​​Lantern employees will join Foresite as part of the acquisition, the companies said. Additionally, Foresite will integrate Cyber ​​Lantern capabilities into its ProVision platform.

Cyber ​​Lantern is the cybersecurity products and services business arm of Digital Lantern. It provides solutions to help organizations secure their operations against cyberattacks and comply with various data protection requirements.

Organizations can use Cyber ​​Lantern Secure for managed detection and response (MDR), the company said. They can also leverage Cyber ​​Lantern Compliance to assess their security posture.

Foresite and Cyber ​​Lantern will together provide compliance and security operations SaaS solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, the companies noted. Meanwhile, Foresite customers can use Cyber ​​Lantern’s data modeling and compliance automation to understand their security posture and meet compliance requirements.

Additionally, Cyber ​​Lantern supports Foresite’s mission to simplify cybersecurity for SMBs, said Matt Gyde, CEO of Foresite. It also ensures that Foresite customers can assess, build, monitor, measure and maintain a strong security posture.

Foresite hires MSSP, cybersecurity expert Mark Behan

The acquisition of Cyber ​​Lantern comes after Foresite in June 2021 hired Mark Behan as senior vice president of operations. Behan oversees Foresite’s operating model and previously held senior cybersecurity roles at systems integrators Presidio and Dimension Data.

Additionally, Foresite appointed Gyde as CEO in June 2021. Gyde succeeded Robin Mayo, who remains at Foresite in an undisclosed role.
