Star Wars Celebration continued Saturday with the highly anticipated The Mandalorian panel at the Anaheim Convention Center. Show creators Dave Filoni and John Favreau took center stage to preview what’s to come for Season 3 of the show that saved Star Wars after the fiasco created by the new trilogy’s final film .
Even if it’s television, this level of storytelling they achieved was one of the reasons they get all the credit for saving the hype that this universe created. However, we can even identify the exact character who saved Star Wars if we get more specific. You all know how the world reacted when the figure of Baby Yoda appeared in episode 1 of the first season.
Since then, countless memes and GIFs have been created based on this character and the reveal of his name was just as magical in season 2 of the series. Since then, we all know that this magical character’s name is Grogu and the world is just crazy about him. Since this year star wars celebration started, we all expected him to make some kind of panel appearance.
There was no better place for him to do that than at The Mandalorian panel on Saturday. Actor Pedro Pascal appeared to introduce the team behind Grogu, the people who make the magic happen behind the animatronic puppet. Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder appeared to get their standing ovation and introduce the panel’s main attraction.
Filoni and Favreau deliver some juicy news from Ahsoka.
After all of the cast from The Mandalorian show were featured on the panel, Filoni and Favreau revealed that this season 3 will have Bo-Katan as the main villain. They also revealed that Mando was going to the planet Mandalor to redeem himself. But there was much more in store for fans, they also introduced new faces from the already announced Ahsoka series.
Rosario Dawson has made an appearance, and actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been announced as Sabine Wren from the animated show “Rebels.” Grogu only made his magical appearance in the final moments of the panel. People weren’t crazy and Twitter was flooded with his images. Season 3 of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka is coming to Disney+ in 2023.
